The Accounting Senior Manager will report directly to the Controller. The Accounting Senior Manager will be primarily responsible for the preparation of journal entries and financial reports for Org (a 501(c)6 trade association) and Services Corporation (a for-profit subsidiary of Org which houses a magazine). In addition, the Accounting Senior Manager will have full responsibility for the accounting of the Political Action Committee (PAC). The Accounting Senior Manager will also support the preparation of the financial statements for the an Education Foundation (a 501(c)3 foundation related to education and training) and the Legal Rights Foundation (a 501(c)6 foundation that supports legal cases and advocacy efforts impacting org’s members). The Accounting Senior Manager will provide high-level technical support to the Controller and entire department through accounting expertise and expertise in software packages used (Solomon and FRx). The Accounting Senior Manager will directly supervise the Senior Accounting Analyst.

Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, particularly for non-profit organizations Ability to create and maintain accounting general ledgers Ability to create and maintain financial reporting templates Capable of supervising accounting staff Knowledge of accounting for consolidating entities Bachelors degree in Accounting at an accredited college or university Minimum of 4 years of related work experience, preferably with non-profit(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with federal grants preferred but not required Licensed Certified Public Accountant strongly preferred
