Our client is a $19 million services company located in Atlanta, GA, They have asked us to assist them with filling their Controller position. They are a small but dynamic company in the services industry. This position will report the Chief Financial Officer of the holding company and be responsible for the following: Job Requirements · Prepare monthly financial statements complete with balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and EBITDA reconciliation. · Perform the monthly closing process, including the recording of necessary journal entries · Ensure that all company revenue and expenses are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP. · Reconcile the balance sheet accounts and complete bank reconciliations. · Prepare monthly financial reports that summarize the company’s financial position in a range of areas including: Capital expenditures, profit & loss summary, variance analysis, and sales reports. · Prepare and administer monthly sales quota reports to all sales representatives · Prepare and administer monthly commission statements to all sales representatives including coordinating with the sales team to calculate the valuation of new sales contracts for purposes of calculating commissions. · Oversee the accounts receivable/billing staff of two. · Oversee the analysis of accounts receivable and the aging of accounts · Review and approve accounts payable transactions · Review weekly payroll register and post to general ledger · Prepare operating budgets and forecasts · Communicate with sister company’s accounting department to reconcile all intercompany activity · Assist CFO in preparation of sales data, variance analysis, ad-hoc reporting and charting of financial data · Assist CFO with other strategic initiatives as necessary Job Qualifications · BS in Accounting and/or Finance · CPA a plus · 5+ years experience, with at least 2 in a supervisory or management role · Mix of public and private accounting experience, however straight out of public is ok · Strong understanding of GAAP · Strong systems experience including Great Plains, Excel, Word, and other systems · Be able to work with very little direction and supervision · Must be hands on and detail oriented

5 years of experience. This opportunity is perfect for someone who is in the 5-10 year experience range. Either someone with 3+ years of public and the rest private or someone ready to make a move out of public accounting and into private industry

BS in Accounting and/or Finance CPA and/or MBA Mix of Public and Private Experience
