Job Summary:
Responsible for overall operations of AHS acute care pharmacies. Plans, directs, coordinates and integrates the dispensing, clinical and administrative aspects of pharmaceutical services for patients of Affinity Health System. Establishes policies and procedures to provide administrative direction for drug preparation and distribution, patient medication monitoring, education and safety. Responsible for maintaining up to date drug information, budget preparation and compliance, purchasing and inventory control, overall safety, staff education and competency. Maintains a close working relationship with nursing staff and physicians to coordinate the delivery of pharmacy services.
Job Requirements:
BS or PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Advanced degree is desirable. Current WI licensure or eligibility. Minimum of 5 years of current varied administrative/supervisory experience in hospital pharmacy services or an advanced degree in pharmacy and business with 2 years experience in hospital pharmacy. Individuals with advanced degrees and residency training are preferred.
