Director of Reimbursement
Job Location: Albany, Georgia
Job Description:
Responsible for all reimbursement issues and analyzing impact of any changes in reimbursement regulation. Directs the preparation of documentation and worksheets to support the completion of the Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports. Must stay abreast of current Medicare / Medicaid regulation changes and incorporate those into the Cost Reporting as well as other payor issues. Responsible for taking the lead with departments regarding reimbursement related issues.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field with a minimum of ten years experience including five years in hospital reimbursement. Experience should include directing the preparation of a hospital cost report; preferably one with distinct part units and/or rural health clinics. Must demonstrate the ability to accept increasing levels of job responsibilities in response to changing work environment. Must be able to think globally to include other entities in reimbursement decisions. Previous management experience required.
