Cancer Registrar (Cert)
Job Location: Greenville, SC
Description:
Performs designed tasks according to established procedures, meeting specified quality and quantity requirements. Collects/abstracts medical data and current patient follow-up data to be utilized for cancer statistics, research and other reporting purposes. This information is gathered from all hospitals in the GHS System. Knowledgeable in all aspects of a Cancer Registry and the American College of Surgeons Standards for an approved Cancer Program.
Qualifications:
Job related course work beyond High School and completion of advanced courses in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology with two (2) years Cancer Registry experience and CTR (Certified Tumor Registrar) Certification required. Graduation from an AHIMA-approved Health Information Management program may substitute for one of the two years experience requirement.
Minimum Salary:
$14.24/Hour
