1st Shift, 8:30a to 5:30p, Monday thru Friday
Qualifications: Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in California. BSN, MSN in Nursing. Five years of acute Oncology nursing experience with two to five years of nursing management experience. Demonstrated clinical proficiency specific to age of Oncology patient population. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational ability, management and leadership skills.
Job Description:
Responsible for the administrative, personnel, financial, quality management and patient care activities of the Oncology nursing unit on a twenty-four (24) hour basis. Ensures that quality nursing and patient care is delivered to all patients on the unit in accordance with professional and regulatory standards, and the philosophy and goals of the hospital. Implements patient care standards, effective staff orientation and continuing education programs. Evaluates staff in accordance with performance expectations and mutually established goals. Designs and directs a comprehensive unit based quality improvement program. Develops, implements and maintains a unit budget. Effectively manages payroll and non-payroll expenses.
