Description:
Provide technical assistance to Component and Materials Engineering functions in the Space Department of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in support of NASA and Military space programs. Manage the GIDEP activities for the Space Department. Register as a GIDEP representative. Upload EEE parts and materials to the GIDEP database. Also monitor NASA Alerts and Advisories. Route potential matches to the lead engineer for response and maintain an internal database of dispositions. Generate and submit the yearly GIDEP utilization report. Write GIDEP Alerts and advisories as necessary. Prepare Project Contract Deliverable GIDEP / NASA Alert & Advisory reports. Manage and maintain the EEE part Derating database for the Space Department. Pull parameters from EEE part datasheets and calculate derating based on EEE-INST-002, PPL-21 or similar requirements. Support Component and Materials Engineering functions and technical assistance as needed, such as Lot Travelers & Data Reviews. Other duties as assigned.
