Discover, develop, and apply analytic techniques to answer key questions regarding the security of proposed Department of Defense computer and Communications Systems. Assist in development of analysis methodologies and metrics to analyze computer network operations problems. Verify and validate proposed methodologies. Apply analysis methodologies and compute metrics to quantify properties of proposed computer and communications systems (e.g., system risk, vulnerabilities, mitigation effectiveness). Examine outputs to answer questions regarding proposed system security. Perform fundamental research to advance the state-of-the-art in Computer Network Operations (e.g., develop novel algorithms, adapt existing theory to new problem spaces). Document and present analysis and research findings.
