Introduction
The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking an Aerospace Power Electronics and DC/DC Converter Engineer.
Responsibilities
Design, analysis, and computer simulation of aerospace power system electronics and dc/dc converters. Design of aerospace power system electronics and dc/dc converters.
Analysis, computer simulation and test of aerospace power electronic circuits and dc/dc converters. Analog and digital circuit design and analysis. System specification, simulation and test, test procedures preparation.
Qualifications
Required: BSEE or equivalent and minimum of 7 years hands on experience in design, simulation and test of aerospace power system electronics. Experience in low power DC/DC converter of various topologies. Knowledge and experience in PWM DC/DC converter small signal modeling, analysis, and test. Knowledge and experience in circuit simulation programs PSPICE and SABRE.
Desired: Experience in digital circuit design and in programming languages C, BASIC, LABVIEW, and HTML Ability to work well in a team environment, to communicate well with all levels of personnel. High initiative. Experience in spacecraft electronics design and development and knowledge of DET and PPT topologies.
