Introduction
The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a Complex Adaptive Systems Researcher.
Responsibilities
Conduct research in the area of Complex Adaptive Systems with an emphasis on a rigorous, mathematical approach to significant problems in the national security domain. Maintain a strong personal research program, building upon at least one area of current group strength in machine learning, probabilistic modeling and inference, decision theory, or planning/control. Engage government sponsors, propose and develop a research program in area of specialization. Publish in journals and conferences.
Qualifications
Required: Ph.D. in EE, CS, or Mathematics with specialization in pattern classification, machine learning, probabilistic modeling and inference, decision theory, or adaptive control. Strong record of research in area of specialization.
