Koch Pipeline Company, L.P., as an owner, operator and investor, plays a key role in the American pipeline system that delivers energy that fuels society. Koch Pipeline owns or operates about 4,000 miles of pipeline that transport crude oil, natural gas liquids, and refined products. Koch Pipeline entities also operate storage and distribution terminals in North America, and have an investment in the Trans Alaska Pipeline System. Position Summary
Koch Pipeline has three openings for this specific role. Two openings in Wichita, KS and one opening in Corpus Christi, TX.
Implements and documents processes that assure the structural reliability of pipe, fittings, auxiliary pipes and tanks. Responsibilities include:
* Coordination and integration of relevant integrity information,
* Development of applicable training content,
* Facilitation of risk management processes,
* Lead pipeline integrity efforts and programs for assigned pipeline systems,
* Develop and maintain the written Integrity Management Programs for pipeline systems,
* Provide integrity support for Pipeline Integrity Projects
Requirements
* 5+ years experience in gas, chemical, or petroleum industry in any of following areas: maintenance, operations, corrosion control, design, project engineering or management
* DOT 195 & 192 regulation experience
* Excellent Computer Skills - Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Outlook, Street Atlas, graphing
* Demonstrable knowledge of pipeline operations, in line inspection, and related technologies. =
* Knowledgeable in interpreting pipeline construction drawings and alignment sheets.
* Valid driver's license.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to adapt and respond in changing circumstances.
* BS Mechanical Engineering or BS Chemical Engineering or other engineering degree or a minimum of five years related industry experience
Preferred:
* 2 years experience in Pipeline Integrity Management programs
* A detailed understanding of pipeline risk management and analysis
* NACE certification
* Knowledge or experience in database management
* Knowledge or experience in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and digital mapping systems
* Advanced understating of external and internal pipeline corrosion & corrosion protection, cathodic protection.
Other Considerations:
* Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on an infrequent basis
* Ability to work outside in hot or cold climate conditions
* Ability to climb steps, ladders, or tanks
* Ability to wear flame retardant clothing (i.e. Nomex) when required
* Ability to wear required PPE while working, including at minimum. a hard hat, safety glasses and heeled work boots
* This job requires the availability to work on both a scheduled and a call-out basis and requires travel to pipeline locations.
* Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
