Safety Technician / Librarian - Enid
Job Location: Enid, OK
Koch Nitrogen Company and its affiliates own and invest
in nitrogen fertilizer production and storage capacity
in North America, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. The
company's fertilizer interests manufacture, market and
distribute more than 6 million metric tons of nitrogen
products annually. Koch Nitrogen Company owns and
operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and
Nebraska which produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea.
These plants provide fertilizer to customers in
Oklahoma, Kansas and the Midwest. Combined, Koch
Nitrogen's fertilizer interests can produce about 6
million metric tons of nitrogen fertilizer annually.
Koch Nitrogen Company is seeking a motivated and self
driven Safety Technician / Librarian for our Enid Plant.
This position offers excellent growth opportunity. A
candidate who successfully fulfills these requirements
will have a future opportunity to fulfill roles of
increasing responsibility / authority with Koch Nitrogen
Company and Koch Mineral Services. The successful
candidate will have the following responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a document management system
for all Process Safety Information (PSI) in both hard
copy and electronic formats
• Coordinate the timely update of PSI by working
with the facility engineers and outside engineering
firms
• Assist with process safety programs such as
coordinating Management of Change approvals and actions
• Input data from safety inspections, self
assessments, and incident investigations in the Lynx
database as needed
• MSDS manual/database updates and maintenance
• Provide assistance as needed for Safety and PSM
programs
• Assist with Safety program implementation to
include: training, conducting routine plant
walkthroughs, and safety committee participation
• Emergency equipment (fire extinguishers and fixed
systems) inspections
• Emergency response program coordination to
include scheduling training and updating written
programs
• Industrial hygiene monitoring
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs to heights
exceeding 100’ and work outdoors
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time
management skills
• Strong communication skills and
profession/business etiquette
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office
• Background in the safety, health, or industrial
emergency response field
• Associates degree in an Occupational Safety
related field and 3-5 years of field experience or
Bachelors degree in an Occupational Safety program
