• Maintains clean organized work area to promote
safe work practices
• Follows all safety rules and guidelines as
established by the company
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated
tasks.
• Works under readily available supervision and
follows established welding procedures.
• May direct the work of others in the absence of
lead or supervisor
• Trains other employees on established procedures
• Responsible for set up, operation, and
positioning of welding equipment to perform required
welds at moderate tolerances
• Monitors work, making dimensional and visual
checks as needed to ensure product conforms to part
specifications in accordance with ISO standards.
• Make layout, fit up work as needed.
• Performs other related duties including grinding,
burning, gouging and chipping, operating a grinder,
cutting torch, and or chipper.
• Makes requests of needed supplies to supervisor
or lead person
• Handles floor operated crane or hoist
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or
lead person.

6G position carbon steel pip 6” schedule 80
thickness
GTAW root and hot pass
GMAW fill and cap
Test # 2
2G position carbon steel plate ¼” thickness
FCAW weld from both sides
* Ability to use mathematics, read blue prints, and
make layout/ set up work.
* Ability to monitor work using appropriate tools,
including measuring devices.
* High School Diploma or GED 5+ years welding
experience and/or schooling using MIG (GMAW), TIG
(GTAW) and Fluxcore (FCAW) welding processes on
structural, pipe, plate and/or sheet metals.
* Materials include carbon steel and stainless steel.
* Prefer experience in stick (SMAW) and subarc (SAW)
welding processes.
