Job Location: Cottage Grove, MN
Koch Pipeline Company, L.P., as an owner, operator and
investor, plays a key role in the American pipeline
system that delivers energy that fuels society. Koch
Pipeline owns or operates about 4,000 miles of pipeline
that transport crude oil, natural gas liquids, and
refined products. Koch Pipeline entities also operate
storage and distribution terminals in North America, and
have an investment in the Trans Alaska Pipeline System.

A successful candidate for this role will be responsible
for effectively managing and implementing the Koch
Pipeline Company (KPL) Damage Prevention Program in the
Cottage Grove/Northern Operations area. These
responsibilities include but are not limited to the
following: effectively locating and marking the
underground location of our pipelines and other assets
(i.e. electrical conduit, cables) in the Cottage Grove,
MN area, following all procedures to ensure KPL
asset integrity during foreign line crossings,
effectively interpreting/complying with applicable state
one-call law requirements and one-call ticket
responsibilities and effectively documenting all
activities surrounding ticket/work
activities. Candidate must have the ability
to read/interpret drawings/maps and install permanent
markers/signs in the ROW areas when necessary. Candidate
must possess a strong customer focus and be a
self-starter requiring minimum direct supervision.
Skills, Experience and Education required:

12 + months previous Damage Prevention experience
required.
Computer skills, specifically the ability to use
Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and ability to learn
to use proprietary databases
Valid drivers license
12 + months experience reading/interpreting maps and
drawings
Good verbal and written communication skills
General mechanical or electrical skills
2 year Technical degree or equivalent relevant field or
military experience
Skills, Experience and Education Preferred:

12 months pipelines operations experience
12 months prior experience/knowledge in either
electrical or mechanical skill sets
6 months experience working on industrial mechanical
equipment such as pumps, valves and motors
Essential Physical Demands or Unusual Working
Conditions:
-------------------------------------------------------
Must be able to wear PPE in designated areas (Hard hat,
safety glasses, gloves, fire retardant clothing, heeled
safety toed boots, etc.).
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
Ability to work in hot, cold or inclement climate
conditions (outdoor conditions)
Up to 25% travel required, including overnight travel
Must be able to respond to calls 24/7 for emergency
response
Must be able to be in a rotational on-call status
Ability to climb and gauge storage tanks greater than
40' in height.
Walking and climbing of ladders or stairs is required
Ability to work overtime as needed
Must have the ability to respond within 30 minutes of
assets.
Must be able to wear a respirator and to pass a
respirator fit test.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check,
DOT drug screen, and pre-hire HAZWOPER physical
