Koch Nitrogen Company, LLC owns and operates facilities in Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska which produce anhydrous ammonia, UAN and urea. Koch Fertilizer Canada ULC, operates a production facility in Brandon, Manitoba which produces primarily anhydrous ammonia, ammonium nitrate, UAN and urea. Position Summary
Koch Fertilizer LLC is looking for a Business Development Associate to join our team. In an effort to capitalize on Koch’s unique growth potential, Koch Fertilizer’s Business Development Group provides valuation, due diligence, financial modeling, and business analysis capabilities in the course of leading and assisting M&A transactions, ventures, commercial agreements and organic growth opportunities. This position offers exposure to senior-level business management and focused mentoring and development. Responsibilities of this role include the following:
- Business development ownership of capital projects and certain organic growth opportunities
- Financial analysis and modeling of acquisition target companies, both public and private
- Identifying and assessing key profit drivers, risks and synergies related to potential transactions
- Preparing and presenting management approval documents
- Ownership of Koch Fertilizer’s internal valuation analyses and benchmarking studies
Requirements
- 2+ years of business analysis and financial modeling experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and other capabilities within the business
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, engineering or economics from an accredited institution
Preferred
- Previous M&A and due diligence exposure
- Big 4 accounting with experience in transaction advisory or valuation services
- Investment banking with a focus on M&A
- MBA or Masters with concentration in Finance
- CFA or CPA holder or candidate
