A world-class loyalty marketing agency with offices around the world is expanding its presence in the U.S. and is seeking an Account Director (AD) with technology experience to join its San Francisco office?s team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a strong existing team and help grow a new division in an established agency.

The Account Director will be responsible for developing and managing strong client relationships and will also manage the strategic direction and profitable execution of various client projects. Working on a world-famous technology account, the AD will manage the global rewards business and will partner with account directors in international offices in managing the roll-out of the North American effort.

Candidates must have agency or client-side loyalty, CRM/direct marketing experience within the tech-sector. They must also have experience working on retention programs in an IT environment. A thorough understanding of IT vendors, distributors and resellers as well as managing membership and/or loyalty programs is required. Some travel will be required.

With headquarters in Europe, this agency has more than 500 employees around the globe. The small San Francisco office is well supported by a network of teams.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and retain strong client relationships; network in the client environment; and identify additional revenue opportunities
* Oversee execution of client programs, ensuring that client and project revenue goals are achieved
* Demonstrate leadership qualities across the agency and coordinate resources and tasks with account and cross-functional teams
* Report status to the Global Account Director and client, as required
* Own and be accountable for non-technical project delivery throughout region
* Measure project profitability against forecasts and client satisfaction
* Measure delivery of project against pre-set objectives and metrics from proposal or other document(s)
* Manage and mentor staff (one direct report) and recruit additional account staff when business warrants

Requirements:
* More than six years of marketing experience in an agency or client-side marketing environment, preferably in the technology sector
* Proven loyalty, CRM, or direct marketing experience
* Successful track record of developing successful retention programs in an IT environment
* Applied experience of channel marketing and a thorough understanding of IT vendors, distributors and resellers
* Experience in developing, planning and implementing membership programs
* Proven track record of successful business development
* Strong budgeting and financial expertise
* Strategic thinking and execution abilities along with a highly analytical approach and competency working with data
* A results-driven self-starter who can work autonomously, but also succeeds in a collaborative team environment
* Some travel required (several times a year)
* B.S. degree required; M.B.A. degree preferred
