"Our Chicago Area client is in the process of hiring a Director of Business Development. This individual will be responsible mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, licensing, joint ventures, distribution agreements and alliances. In addition, this person will be leading complex business development opportunities through the deal phase; manages the research and analysis of complex business opportunities across several business units and/or product lines and assesses potential markets; interact with a broad range of internal and external contacts and coordinate financial, legal, and contractual matters across divisions. Act as liaison to external advisors such as investment bankers, attorneys and consultants. Some Domestic & International travel will be required.This requires an individual with excellent quantitative and qualitative assessment skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to constructively challenge various aspects of the deal. General business knowledge and in-depth knowledge in one or more of the following: financial, legal, sales and marketing, operations and/or technology. This person must come from or has exceptional knowledge of the healthcare business. Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to facilitate and manage cross functional teams. Master?s degree in finance, marketing or strategy preferred. "
