"Title: Associate, Corporate Brand Management, The Walt Disney Company Location: Burbank, CA Group Background: Corporate Brand Management (CBM) reports into the CFO of The Walt Disney Company and works across the company to maximize the economic value of our brands, franchises and customer relationships for the short and long term. CBM aligns the various parts of the company around common strategies so that we achieve business growth through strong brands: - Build deep consumer behavioral insights ? how they are spending their money, what they are doing, and what their perspectives are ? to shape growth and marketing strategies
- Identify strategic issues of our brands and customers to guide strategy/product development
- Nurture consumer-driven business development
Responsibilities: · Manage complicated and sophisticated consumer research studies, from conception through analysis and presentation of the learning and implications. · Conduct in-depth competitive and market analyses.Prepare case studies to support brand and consumer strategies · Perform other analyses to gain insight into company businesses, and to identify segments or category opportunities for further development. Example Projects: · Conduct major consumer studies on spend/involvement in family entertainment and Disney in key markets around the world to shape the brand?s growth strategies · Explore how consumer behaviors and preferences are shifting with the adoption of new digital entertainment technologies and how TWDC should respond · Work with ESPN to gain deep consumer insights to shape growth and advertising strategies · Partner with Corporate Strategy to develop a comprehensive global gaming strategy Desired Experience and Skills:The group is seeking a bright strategic thinker with a strong understanding of business and a passion for consumer marketing and brands. The successful candidate will bring interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, ability to manage several projects simultaneously, creative acumen, maturity and enthusiasm. · MBA from a top-tier business school · 3 to 5 years of experience with a proven track record in a strategic role at a blue-chip marketing company, strategy consulting firm (ideally focusing on consumer strategy), or advertising agency · Experience developing and/or using marketing research is preferred · Demonstrate strong analytic skills, preferably with Powerpoint, Excel, and SPSS experience "
