"Responsibilities
Demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization. Contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional area of expertise.
* Working knowledge of the oil & gas industry, and related Services market.
* Planning, development and implementation of a variety of marketing communications projects that support the strategic and operating goals of GEs Oil & Gas business in the Americas region.
* Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing communications and media relations program that will enhance GE Oil & Gas image and position within the marketplace and the general public.
* Responsible for development and coordination of marketing communications programs of all North America-based products and service lines.
* Act as Brand Ambassador for GE Oil & Gas internally and externally.
* Directs the efforts of the marketing communications staff and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the Organization.
* Projects include public relations, business press relations, branding, brochures, product data sheets, collateral, executive presentations, advertising, promotions, web content, trade shows, technical seminars, and customer events.
* Coordinate media interest in GE Oil & Gas and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
* Manage the acquisition of material and content required for internal/external newsletters.
* Interface with various vendors (Printing, Marketing Communications, Graphics Design, Events, etc.) to plan and execute aforementioned marcomm projects.
* Interface with commercial teams on as needed basis for Events / Marketing Communications related tasks.
* Coordination of purchasing & invoicing for marketing related purchases.
Signature: ~CB~ Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, and/or Marketing from an accredited university or college.
* At least 5+ years experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations/Agency, or Marketing Communications.
* Fluent in Spanish.
Desired
* MBA preferred
* Ability to develop and implement communications campaigns.
* Ability to conceptualize, structure write, and pitch compelling stories for wide range of media outlets.
* Experience with planning and executing trade shows and exhibitions, from concept and logistics management through to on-site execution.
* Broad knowledge of print, video and web-production technologies.
* Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work.
* Excellent business acumen.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization from senior level executives to all other employment segments.
* Skilled in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
* Six Sigma trained or Green belt certified (Internal GE employees only).
* Familiarity with supporting a global business.
* Knowledge of GEs Oil & Gas product lines. General
