POSITION OVERVIEW: The Certified Respiratory Therapy (CRT) is a professional care giver who assumes the responsibility and accountability for providing respiratory care to patients following designated time standards in accordance with guidelines established by the American Association for Respiratory Care in association with other health care team members. The CRT practices safe efficient treatment modalities acts as a positive concerned role model and performs additional skills in specialty areas.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an AMA approved school. Completed and passed CRT exam given by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: None required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/ REGISTRATION: Licensed with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP). Has taken and passed the RRT or CRT exam given by the National Board for Respiratory Care. ACLS
