POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a professional care giver who assumes the responsibility and accountability for providing respiratory care to patients following designated time standards in accordance with guidelines established by the American Association for Respiratory Care in association with other health care team members. The RRT practices safe and efficient treatment modalities. Acts as a positive concerned role model. Perform additional skills in specialty areas.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an AMA approved school.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
None required
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/ REGISTRATION:
Licensed with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP). Has taken and passed the RRT exam given by the National Board for Respiratory Care. ACLS
