JOB DESCRIPTION:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will provide triage, direct and indirect patient care in the emergency services setting. This setting requires staff to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The clinical MICT works under the authority of the ED physician and along side the registered nurse.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides comprehensive nursing care within the framework of the nursing process.
Provides complete communication of nursing care and patient’s response to care.
Collaborates with patients, families, and other members of the health care team.
Promotes positive relationships including quality customer service.
Promotes continuous quality improvement in operations and in job performance.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Current license to practice as a MICT in the State of .
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of one year of full-time experience as a paramedic (MICT) working in an ALS service.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Completion of MRHC ED orientation and competency checklist is required. Verification of BLS, ACLS, PALS is required at the time of hire or within 6 months of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activities. Good visual acuity and color determination. Must be able to work under stress and coordinate several activities simultaneously.
