JOB DESCRIPTION: POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Child Care Associate works under the direction of the Fitness & Wellness Director. Responsibilities include caring for children in child care center and assisting with record keeping for child care attendance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Cares for children in child care center
Assists with record keeping for child care attendance
Promotes and supports all Team Mercy standards of quality customer service.
Promotes continuous quality improvement in operations and in job performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current CPR certification.
Previous or current course work in elementary education and/or early childhood education preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience working with children in a child care setting preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to care for children aged 0-10 years in a child care setting.
Strong verbal communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to effectively coordinate several simultaneous activities.
Full mobility and able to lift 50 pounds.
Physical Demand level - HEAVY
