Description:
The Laboratory Services Director is responsible for all operations (administrative technical and fiscal) of the MRHC Laboratories. This position is to assure efficient accurate timely delivery of all diagnostic laboratory testing. The quality of all laboratory testing (Microbiology Chemistry Hematology Blood Bank Serology Histology and Phlebotomy) performed by any departments of MRHC shall be the responsibility of this position. The Director also shall assure that all methods of practice and/or work performance shall conform to written established hospital policies and procedures. The laboratory may collect or perform testing for neonates infants children adolescents adults and geriatric patients. The Director will have appropriate knowledge and skills to perform laboratory testing related duties for these populations.

Education: Baccalaureate degree and successful completion of a Medical Technology program that is accredited by the Committee on Allied Health and Education (CAHEA) or equivalent training education and experience.

 

Experience: 5 years experience in lab section that is supervising.

 

Certifications: ASCP certification or equivalent nationally recognized Medical Technology certification or categorical certification.

 

Travel: Must have reliable transportation to allow travel between both campuses as work scheduling requires.
