Full-time position with The Heritage Program for Senior Adults located within Wamego City Hospital.
Position Overview:
The Therapist is responsible for providing high quality patient care displaying skills in assessment treatment planning group treatment individual treatment family treatment and discharge planning. Additionally he/she is responsible to function well as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Performs duties as assigned by the WCH Heritage Program Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide individual family and group therapy as well as case management completing documentation in accurate and timely manner. Provide services to geriatric population.
Education Requirements:
Master's degree in Social Work Counseling or Psychology from an accredited University. Licensed by the state at a Master's level of Social Work or a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Experience Requirements:
Field Placement or one year's experience working with Adults Psychiatric or Geropsychiatric patients. Experience with elderly clients in medical social work/case management setting considered.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Work well with others, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy. Has good clinical skills, ability to function well as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, and ability to represent the program will in interactions both inside and outside the host hospital. Participates in continuing education programs, both in and outside the hospital. Professional appearance.
