Job Details:
A staff occupational therapist assistant (certified) will participate in the daily activities of the rehab services department. He/she performs selected patient treatments under the general supervision of a Staff Occupational Therapist, or the manager, and has the responsibility for the overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of supportive staff, and students utilized in the department/facility. Prepares patients and equipment for treatment; may help perform the housekeeping duties of the department/facility; performs other diverse duties as requested or required. The COTA will also properly maintain medical records pertinent to patient treatment, and assist, or actively participate, in CQI and safety procedures for the department/facility.
