Machine Repair Technician
Job Location: Northern Cincinnati, OH
Shift:
6-9 mos Contract
DESCRIPTION
7-10 years experience 2 positions: 1 @ 1st shift, 1 @ 2nd shift Must have workable knowledge of these machines:
Lasers, CNC Machining Centers and Milling, Whitney Punch Presses, Various Machine Controls.
Improve and repair manufacturing machines used in production and fabrication.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair, diagnose and correct machine failure.
2. Will dismantle electrical systems, rebuild as required and install into machines.
3. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.
4. Ensure all safety devices are properly installed.
5. Set-up machine to OEM specifications.
6. Train other personnel as needed.
7. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws
8. Perform all duties in a safe manner
9. Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School degree, technical / trade school background a plus. General knowledge of production equipment and its maintenance requirements, required.
BASIC SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must have experience in: hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and rebuilding machines.
2. Ability to comprehend technical training manuals, blue prints, and electrical diagrams.
3. Experience with lean manufacturing and kaizen techniques
4. Able to handle multiple assignments under extreme time constraints and high stress conditions
5. Must have strong work ethic, sense of urgency and a high energy level
6. Self-starter: bias for action, results oriented
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
8. Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office application, required
10. Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends to meet business needs
11. Ability to work with a diversified work force
