Assistant Program Manager

Job Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Shift: 12 month plus contract

Description
We are working with an automotive company in Fort Wayne Indiana that is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to work a long term contact position. Supports field issue resolution. Monitor and manage the execution and coordination of project team activities. Develop schedules to ensure timely completion of 8-Ds, identifying actions plans, and aligning resources when needed. Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Communicates with Senior IMG, GAP, West Point, Government representatives, and TDTC Managers.
 --Conduct project planning and execution. Responsible for planning, organizing and directing internal resources to help accomplish project.
--Responsible for military project plans, execution, status tracking, and reporting. Monitor milestones and manage potential delays.
--Provide quality assurance and issue escalation/resolution.
--Work with Military Products team and to set and monitor project scope.
--Ensure project compliance with contract specifications and support/issue/complete government required meetings and documentation.
--Advise and support the mapping of business processes and workflows.
--Initiate design and process feedback and plan improvement and development activities.
--Assist training interns
--Report milestones and project status to management.
--Evaluate requirements and make specific recommendations on how they can be accommodated.
--Effectively implement and manage projects through assigned indirect resources from TDTC and other International businesses.

***3 years of Military project management experience
***U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required. (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.)

Desired Skills:
--Bachelors or Associates Degree of Applied Science desired
--Excellent working knowledge of EOFF, Workflow, Pyxis, Pharos, ISIS, ACS, other Truck Tracking systems
--Good working knowledge of military project planning processes.
--Previous project management experience
--Strong analytical skills
--Deadline driven
--Strong Mechanical Background (Mechanic Background a plus)
--Strong PC Skills
--Possesses experience working with vehicle systems and components
--Strong CAE Background including CAD, RP, CNC
--Knowledge of Manufacturing Plant Systems, layouts, personnel
