Pro E Product Engineer
Job Location: Springfield, OH

The selected candidate will provide ProEngineer design engineering expertise for new & existing Companies IT OEM customer project requirements in coordination with Companys CSM
Provide timely support for IT OEM customer project engineering requirements
Coordinate & document all ECN initial release or change documentation requirements for IT OEM project implementation
Provide IT OEM customer specific mechanical detail design and documentation support in coordination with Companysl CSM
Enclosure packaging design
Enclosure accessory design
Ensure complete 2D & 3D documentation & design support for ongoing IT OEM customer specific product R&D designs in coordination with Companys CSM
3D ProSheetmetal product design
2D ProEngineer assembly documentation
2D Cadra/Autocad schematic, label, & wiring documentation
Material Master & BOM configuration requirements
Provide engineering product support, including:
Technical project management
Off-load project & product build support
Prototype build coordination
Outsource vendor selection & project coordination
Product cost analysis
Provide customer technical solutions based proposals and customer visit presentations when required
Provide machine and process capabilities for all internal build requirements
Ensure ECN documentation control organization for all new or changed product documentation requirements
Provide continuous improvement feedback to ensure Rittal quality & performance. Support implementation of Company Production System

Knowledge & Experience:
4-year Mechanical Engineering Technology or BSME degree with 2 years minimum product design experience or a 2-year AS Mechanical Engineering Technology degree with 6 years minimum product design experience. Experience with 3D solid and 2D CAD engineering design tools, ProEngineer, Wildfire 3, Sheet Metal, AutoCAD 2D and Mechanical FEM desirable. Experience with enclosure fabrication and assembly production methods, CNC sheet metal in steel/aluminum, metric units, MIG & TIG welding, powder coat, e-coat and other metal finishing processes. Knowledge & experience with enclosure product engineering requirements, industry regulatory requirements such as UL/CE/NEC/VDE and performance measures such as NEMA/IEC/ANSI. Experience with ECN processes and creation of SAP/AS400 material master and BOM creation in MRP software. Experience with ISO 9001 documentation. Working knowledge of WindowsNT/2000/XP and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Experience with Electronic Data Transfer techniques (IGS, DXF) and Data File Transfer techniques (FTP, Internet).
