Job Description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for the expediting of components from Suppliers to the production floor. You will have front line responsibility for assigned component program. Individual will direct opening and closing work orders on assigned parts. Create MSOs for components that are shipped to suppliers.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Work with Production Control and Purchasing on the manufacturing build schedule.
2. Maintain appropriate inventory levels on all assigned components.
3. Participate in morning production meeting and report daily status as required.
4. Follow up with suppliers on purchased products to assure delivery schedules are maintained.
5. Maintain weekly metrics on all product lines. (Shipments v. Requirements), (On Time Delivery) etc. Communicate effectively with all departments.
6. Work hours to support assigned responsibilities.
7. Know the status and inventory levels of all parts.
8. Know where the WIP is in the manufacturing line. i.e. doors, glass, turret, fabrication shop etc.
9. Follow daily usage with cookie sheets.
10. Follow and track all suppliers to make sure that we meet the required delivery dates.
11. Establish Inventory levels of all parts based on supplier lead time and customer requirements.
12. Work with our Quality organization on MRB and problem parts to help get them released. i.e. supplier paperwork etc.
13. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws
14. Perform all duties in a safe manner
15. Perform other duties as assigned
Some Production Control experience desired (will consider college grad). Solid interpersonal skills with experience in customer/supplier relations. Experience with ISO 9001 or QS 9100 Quality Operating Systems and the ability to handle multiple assignments under extreme time constraints and high stress conditions
