Job Description:
Design Project Engineer-UG-4-preferred Experienced in writing design requirements document for vehicle electrical components. Lead and participate in DFMEA, DVPV. Translate system level requirements to component level requirements. Lead component level design tests to demonstrate reliability prediction. Responsible for developing plans for all work within assigned project scope and leading the project to completion within the agreed estimates. Responsible for the project design integrity including supporting the project through production launch. This includes all Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD) goals at the engineering level. Lead projects to ensure documentation, adherence to established drawing and performance standards. Coordinate as appropriate with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, and other engineering personnel to develop the information required to complete assigned engineering projects. Gather data and analysis as well as assist in project planning and status reporting. Create drawings, layouts and 3-D models using UG NX-4 (preferred) Extract layout data and use skills in computer aided engineering and analysis to apply engineering theory to system designs --Mentor and lead lower classification Engineers and Designers in design guidance, project documentation, adherence to established drawing and performance standards --Participate in and lead project and design reviews
Education required is a 4 year Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, or Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering Technology. 7-15 years of experience in design/engineering. Prefer vehicle experience.
