Job Description:
There is currently an opening for a Reliability Engineer in Cincinnati, OH. Our client is looking for an individual with DOD/ military experience. This is a contract to direct hire opportunity for the right individual. In this role, candidates will conduct reliability analysis and safety assessments on electronic and electro-mechanical devices containing Analog, Digital and RF circuitry. Analyses include Stress Analysis, Reliability Prediction, FMECA, Testability Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis and System Hazard Analysis. Candidates will also write detailed reliability analysis and safety assessment reports. Candidates will interface with Design Engineer to review reliability and safety requirements. Perform reliability analysis of new design to ascertain the potential for meeting specified reliability requirements. Provide recommendations to assure compliance with reliability requirements. Participate in design reviews and present results of analyses to customer. Interface with customer on reliability and safety of designs as required. Coordinate reliability activities with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Qualified candidates must have a BSEE or related degree required and 5 years experience in Reliability and/or Safety Engineering. All applicants must be able to read and analyze electrical schematics. Company is looking for people with MIL-HDKs and MIL-STDS experience, (MIL-HDBK-217 or equivalent prediction methodology experience required), MIL-STD-785 experience is desirable. All applicants must have experience performing Electrical Stress/Derating Analysis, Reliability Prediction, FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, and System Hazard Analysis on electronic and electro-mechanical devices. Candidates must be US citizens and must be eligible to receive a U.S. Government security clearance.
