Job Description:
There is currently an exciting opportunity in Cincinnati for an Electrical Engineer III, FPGA Designer with Department of Defense experience. In this role, candidates will work on FPGA Design, which includes various sensor interfaces, sequence verification, A/D and D/A interfaces, communication protocols, state machines, timer chains, etc. used for DOD weapon systems. Participate in functional definition. Candidates will participate in architectural design activities, design capture, and bench test creation, design simulation/verification. Other duties will include AC timing and signal integrity analysis, Design verification test plan generation and execution and Debugging, hardware/software integration and verification testing.
Qualified candidates must have a BSEE and 7+ years experience in the design, development and testing of electronic and electro-mechanical devices. Masters degree is a plus. All applicants must be U.S. Citizenship and have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance. Successful candidates must be highly motivated and able to work independently as well as cohesively within a team. Candidates must also have good communication and computer skills. High level of design experience with Actel anti-fuse FPGA?s is required, experience with Libero IDE system (schematic capture) and Mentor ModelSim tools and experience with VDL and converting FPGA designs to ASICS.
