Engineer-Mining/Project Manager
Job Location: ROSWELL, NM
Fortune 500 client located in Southeastern New Mexico is searching for a Mining Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mining and mechanical engineering services to the Mine Department. The candidate must have strong knowledge of ventilation, rock mechanics, computer aided design, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Strong organizational skills for planning purposes, reporting and preparation of staff meetings. The candidate will gather information and prepare documentation including cost estimates, preliminary engineering design and analysis. The candidate will assist in preparing project specifications and quotes. The candidate will develop construction schedules and monitor project budgets, cost and schedule for on-time performance and prepares applicable reports including cash flow projections while coordinating project tie-ins with production and maintenance departments. The candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant MSHA requirements and company safety regulations. This position requires a Bachelor?s Degree in Mining, Minerals, or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of related experience.
