Client is looking to hire a Site Manager (Plant Manger) to run a large Wind Farm in Iowa. You need 10-15+ years of power generation experience, 5+ years of management experience and at least 2 years of operations & maintenance management experience at an operating wind farm. You need a BS degree, and an MBA would be a plus. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing all plant activities in a safe and environmentally conscious manner, with a keen focus on continuously improving competitive position and profitability. Any experience with the construction, commissioning & startup of a new wind power plant would be considered a plus. You are expected to lead & drive the establishment, acceptance and maintenance of process performance across all critical processes and ensure the process performance activities align with site financial and operating goals. You are expected to continuously monitor performance results against financial and operating goals and communicate such information to employees. You need to be proficient in the application and theory of data-driven management practices including Statistical Process Control, Continuous Improvement and Data Collection and Analysis. You need knowledge of financial and business management with a proven track record of results orientation. You need an in-depth knowledge of electric and wind generation.
