Client in north metro Atlanta is actively looking for a Technical Specialist with QNX and networking skills for a direct hire position. Local candidates, please.
Responsibilities:
-> Support Oil and Gas bulk terminal operations
-> Provide customer support to both internal and external customers for terminal automation matters such as terminal facility commissioning, Terminal Automation Systems (TAS) installs, upgrades and service swaps, and terminal balancing
-> Configure computer to network, support proprietary software based on QNX, and provide helpdesk support
-> Support and resolve operating system and TAS issues related to design, functionality, operability and connectivity
-> Involves 15-40% travel and requires participation in rotating on call night and weekend support
Requirements:
-> 5+ years experience with QNX operating system and some networking experience
-> Background with Linux highly preferred
-> Must be able to explain technical details to a broad range of users. Prior support experience very helpful
-> Computer systems training or a degree in Computer Science preferred
-> Pluses: any knowledge of Oil and Gas bulk terminal operations and associated API, DOT, OSHA, EPA and IRS regulations. Any knowledge of Terminal Automation Systems
-> Local candidate, available for travel and on-call support
