Engineering & Construction Consulting firm is looking to hire Substation Protection & Control Engineers (Relay Engineers) with 5-15+ years of experience performing substation protection, control and communications design for high voltage electrical substation projects. You need a BSEE or MSEE. A PE license is a big plus. You will perform substation protection, control and communications engineering as part of a team to support turn-key engineering, project management, and construction efforts. Experience performing system analyses including relay coordination, grounding, load flow, short circuit, and stability and power quality studies for high voltage substations including HVDC and Static Var installations is a plus. You will develop equipment specifications for protection, control, and communications equipment in the substation. You need experience with protection of high voltage substation equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers including metering & instrumentation, pilot wire, audio tone, fiber optic communication, carrier equipment, SCADA & RTU's. Our client will consider candidates on a long term contract basis or a direct hire basis. Salary is commensurate with experience.
