Excellent opportunity for a MANAGER OF NUCLEAR ESTIMATING for a well-respected firm in North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
-> Oversee, lead, and manage nuclear power related Cost and Bid Process ensuring completeness, quality, and accuracy for all resource, material, and manpower requirements
-> Prepare estimates in accordance with standards and best practices
-> Interface with project teams to obtain basis for developing estimates
-> Prepare bid packages defining scope and costs from subcontractors and vendors quotes
-> Read engineering and design drawings and documents and develop material and equipment takeoffs
-> Team in manloading and developing work breakdown structures
-> Develop, maintain, and update project estimating database
-> Provide internal consulting for estimating issues, policies, and procedures
-> Prepare related management reports
Requirements:
-> BS Degree in Engineering or strong compensating equivalent experience
-> Minimum 15 years experience in project management or process plant estimating
-> Solid understanding of estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for compiling bid proposals and handling contractual agreements in a commercial environment
-> Strong working knowledge of commercial Nuclear Power Plant operations and procedures
-> Solid PC skills including Excel, Power Point and MS Office
-> Excellent verbal and written communication skills
