Client located in the high desert area of San Bernardino County in California has an immediate need for a qualified Journeyman Electrician. Client highly prefers candidates local to the area, however, nonlocal candidates will be considered as well.
Responsibilities:
-> Troubleshooting and maintenance of power plant equipment up to at least 4 kV
-> Installs, overhauls, and maintains power circuit breakers, switches, motors, transformers, and other electrical power plant equipment
-> Tests for and locates faults on control, power and lighting circuits, switchboard wiring, motors, controllers, starters, and similar devices on AC and DC circuits
-> Updates prints and drawings to latest revisions and configurations
-> Assists and instructs junior employees
Requirements:
-> A High School diploma and technical training is required
-> Additional training and experience as a Helper and an Electrical Apprentice is preferred
-> Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and wiring diagrams
-> Work safely on and around high voltage energized equipment
-> Obtain and maintain a state vehicle operator's license
