An Engineering client in San Ramon, California needs to add several experienced Transmission Line Engineers with high voltage US utility experience. Client will consider direct hire or long term contract. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
-> Manage and design High Voltage - 345 to 500 kv - Transmission and Distribution projects, including both electrical and physical aspects of above ground and underground installations
-> Develop project scope, proposals, estimates, and budgets
-> Develop engineering documents, specifications, and procedures
-> Follow California Standard GO-95 for transmission line design
-> Assist in obtaining permits such as DOT, zoning, easement, etc
-> Coordinate installation and commissioning with clients, and subcontractors, with some field work required
Requirements:
-> BS or MS in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
-> At least 5 years of experience working for a United States electric utility company and/or a United States EPC firm
-> More experience preferred, up to 20 to 25 years, which will bring the highest salaries
-> Expert in using PLS Cadd, PLS Pole, Tower, Sag 10, Caisson and other related design programs
-> Knowledge of California standard GO-95
-> US Professional Engineer registration ( PE ) is a major plus and will command more money
