A Transportation Solutions Company in Michigan is seeking a Supply Chain Engineer responsible for managing a wide variety of supply chain initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities:
-> Develop strategic, tactical and operational plans for supply chain related business offerings
-> Work closely with business development, customers and vendors to develop cost saving and margin increasing processes
-> Assist Business Development in identifying and on-boarding future customers
-> Support for creating reporting and metrics
-> Manage Continuous Improvement projects
Requirements:
-> Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
-> 5-10 years relevant experience in supply chain engineering / management, logistics or operations
-> Experience using linear and non-linear optimization / modeling software
-> Database and SQL development abilities
-> TMS platform knowledge
-> Proficient in Access, Excel and SQL
-> Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
-> Logistics / Supply Chain modeling experience
-> Specific experience with modeling, simulation and analysis tools such as ILOG, AMPL, Arena, GAMS etc
-> Advanced degree in Operations Research, Logistics / Supply Chain Engineering or Applied Mathematics (A PLUS)
-> Knowledge of Logistics / Transportation industry standards and DOT regulations, preferred
-> Mainframe & Data Mining Experience, preferred
