A Houston-area consulting firm offering air, water, and waste regulatory compliance services has an opening for an Environmental Compliance Consultant. In this position you will prepare compliance reports primarily for our chemical, power generation and oil and gas clients to assist them with permitting and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
-> Compile modeling analysis results relative to project requirements and/or published guidelines
-> Document process information to ensure client operations and work practices are in accordance with all applicable regulations
-> Understand existing regulations and continually review new and proposed regulations as they relate to industrial clients
-> Remain current regarding the latest developments in pollution control technologies
-> Assemble permit applications, permit amendment applications, compliance reports, source inventories, and fee calculations for submittal to state regulatory agencies for industrial clients
-> Communicate results of analyses internally and externally in verbal and written form
Requirements:
-> Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil Engineering or Science
-> Two to five years related experience
-> Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel
-> Experience with submitting documents to the TCEQ i.e. complying with TCEQ requirements is a plus
-> Must have good writing, spelling, math, logical/reasoning skills
