A leader in the light rail transportation solutions is actively interviewing for a Safety Supervisor for their New York facility. This Temp-to-Perm position will require a person with 5 years of Occupational, Health and Safety experience at the management level. Client would prefer the candidate be experienced in rail transportation.
Responsibilities:
-> Responsible for all site safety programs, regulations and compliance that is required to provide passengers with safe, effective and efficient transit service
-> Develop fire and emergency response plans, conduct safety training, perform accident investigations
-> Candidates responsible to interpret regulator requirements for compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, CERCLA, NFPA; plus state and local codes
Requirements:
-> A technical bachelor?s degree is required and a Masters is highly desirable
-> A degree curriculum that included Occupational & Health & Safety is preferred
-> 5 years of strong Occupational, Health and Safety experience, rail transportation experience is preferred
-> Candidates must pass a 10 year background check for Non-Aeronautical Operations Area ID Card
