Client located in Western, NY is looking for a degreed Electrical Engineer to provide leadership and technical support of activities for their power generation plants within the region as needed regarding technical issues. Local candidates or those able to relocate at their own expense preferred.
Responsibilities:
-> Participate and/or lead teams that focus on specific problem areas or needs for generating units
-> Initiate/participate in continuous improvement planning and implementation in assigned area of responsibility
-> Coordinate activities with Vendors/Contractors
-> Perform field inspections and take field measurements
-> Analyze technical performance of plant systems and equipment
-> Perform root cause analysis of system and equipment problems
-> Develop and evaluate alternative solutions to engineering problems
-> Prepare studies/scope statements outlining alternative solutions and recommend least cost solutions

Requirements:
-> BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university (BSEET / Engineering Technology not accepted)
-> Experience in coal-fired electrical power plant engineering
-> Experience in power plant equipment and system testing and troubleshooting
