NOW SEEKING CANDIDATES for Principle Mechanical Engineer for a Fortune 200 Company located in the New Orleans area. Our client is involved in the design and production of marine craft and combat vehicles! As a Principle Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the design, and integration of structural scantlings and details of high performance marine vessels. A BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience is required however a Masters Degree is preferred. You should have extensive experience in working with marine structural systems, particularly military, commercial or ground combat vehicle products. It is necessary that you are knowledgeable in the application of high strength aluminium alloys, as well as structural component design and stress analysis. You should also have a good understanding of military and commercial vessel construction standards/specs. It is strongly desired that you have experience using a 3-D CAD tool ie: Solidworks or NX5, as well as knowledge of a CAE tool, for structural analysis.
