Immediate need for a proven Safety Professional to be the corporate Safety Director for this premier leader in electrical contracting in the Southeast.
Responsibilities:
-> Personnel and project management for all safety related matters
-> Goal to instruct branch office managers in total safety awareness for internal oversight and any subcontractor work performed on job sites
-> Implementation of all on site-specific safety plans
-> Conduct and Coordinate the following: Document regular safety meetings, Conduct regular safety inspections, Investigate all safety-related issues, ?stop work? orders, as appropriate, conduct root cause analysis of safety incidents, and implement corrective actions
-> Coordinate all necessary safety training for on-site employees and contractors, and ensure that subcontractors have received applicable safety training
-> Coordinate all emergency safety and health plans and procedures, such as the following: Evacuation plans, HAZMAT records relevant to construction areas, Fire suppression, Rescue Services, Facilitate all emergency service needs, Enforce OSHA and Corporate safety requirements
Requirements:
-> Must have related engineering or technical degree. Prefer a degree in Health and Safety with accompanying related safety certifications
-> Direct and oversee all company safety policies and procedures for site work
-> Providing leadership to all internal departments and driving the culture of safety throughout the entire organization
-> Involved with all required and routine training programs at 6 branch offices throughout the Southeast. Travel as required to branches and site locations
-> Previous site safety work with heavy industrial, food processing, and or electrical contracting is needed to understand company industry focus and reach
