A well established Engineering Company located in the Chicago, IL area is looking for a Senior Supervising Civil Engineer with senior level engineering and design analysis for plant foundations, soils and subsurface work. Responsibilities:
-> Overall responsibility for the technical oversight and staffing requirements for the project teams Civil engineering personnel
-> Develop standards and engineering process improvements
-> Incorporating Client standards and procedures in overall engineering process
-> Develop project Structural work scope, budgets and schedules
-> Execute lead civil engineer responsibilities on projects that include senior level engineering and design analysis for plant foundations, soils and subsurface work
-> Lead the civil engineering effort on multiple projects simultaneously including supervising, and managing staffing levels and project task allocations
Requirements:
-> PE License required
-> Minimum of 15 years experience, 5 in supervisory position, in engineering in foundry and/or heavy industry plant design
-> Senior level engineering and design analysis for rotating equipment, casting, extrusion, forming, and heavy industry plant layout
-> Sound understanding of HazOp, dynamic loading, soil mechanics, brown field subsurface assessment, risk analysis, and project cost/scheduling
-> Strong oral/presentation skill and clear/concise report writing ability
-> Open to occasional travel or short-term out-of-town assignments
