Job Location: OKLAHOMA CITY, OK
Immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer- HVAC in our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office. This is a position for someone with utilities and energy management for the federal government or other public sector clients. A Per Diem will be considered for the right candidates. Pay Rate is an approximation so all candidates are encouraged to apply with their pay requirements. This is a 6 month+ assignment. Please answer the questions below to be considered.

Responsibilities:

-> Perform or closely oversee load calculation studies and interpret the results of such studies as they apply to the design of HVAC
-> Analyze or closely oversee the analysis of alternative HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems in terms of impact on the design of other systems (architecture, structural, electrical, etc.) considering cost as well as efficiency and timing of construction
-> Design or oversee the design of HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems including concepts, distribution plans, riser diagrams, detail drawings, schedules, specifications, and the like. Responsible for all design and/or specification of HVAC control systems, as well as building automation and energy management systems.Design or oversee the design of Underfloor(slab) and above grade plumbing systems as well as hydraulic systems for HVAC equipment
-> Perform on-site observations and review & respond to submittals and RFI?s required to fulfill contractual obligations for construction phase services; oversee other personnel assigned to this responsibility

Requirements:

-> B. S. Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
-> P. E. Preferred. Experienced in the design of HVAC systems, Plumbing a plus
-> Knowledge of codes and standards including UBC, UMC, UPC, IPC, IMC, Title 24, ASHRAE, and NFPA
-> Ability to perform energy modeling using Trane Trace 700 or equivalent computer analysis software, and EnergyPro or equivalent T24 software
-> Working knowledge of AutoCad 2002/2006, Revit BIM, MSExcel, MSWord, and MSProject and LEED accreditation desired
-> Minimum 5 years experience in a comparable consulting or A/E firm designing mechanical systems for building HVAC, chillers, boilers, plumbing, control systems
-> Experience should include design of government infrastructures, aviation facilities, dormitories, dinning facilities, and healthcare facilities
