Long term contract assignment with a large company seeking an Electrical Engineer with experienced in nuclear plant design. Great opportunity to work on state of the art electrical design within a nuclear power generation plant. Candidates must be able to obtain unescorted access clearance for a nuclear facility located in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
-> Responsible for reviewing vendor correspondence, performing conceptual design studies
-> Responsible for performing design changes, performing design bases maintenance
-> Responsible for performing equivalency determinations, or monitoring and providing technical recommendations
-> Responsible for Long Range Planning for assigned electrical components
Requirements:
-> Requires a BSEE or related Bachelors degree
-> Requires a minimum of 10 years design experience working with Electrical Nuclear Systems and Equipment
-> Prefer 5 years or more experience in PWR or BWR nuclear power design
-> PE preferred but not required
-> Experience with providing Electrical support by performing engineering studies, preparing engineering calculations, developing cost estimates for design changes
-> Requires a strong technical background applicable to power generating facilities
-> Knowledge of nuclear design bases and regulations is preferred
-> Desire a familiarity with electrical calculations and electrical protection
