A power engineering client is looking for Project Managers with turn-key EPC experience installing high voltage substations, working out of it?s office in San Ramon, CA. They need experienced decisive professionals with at least 5 to 10 years experience as a project manager, working on projects with values in the $8MM to $20MM range. This is a full time position but client prefers to hire contract-to-permanent. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidates.
Responsibilities:
-> Use your extensive capital project management experience to lead all aspects and phases of high voltage substation projects, from project proposal to startup and handoff
-> Lead project personnel, maintain excellent project communications through effective meetings and reporting, ensure all project measures of success are achieved including safety and profitability
-> Manage schedules and change orders, contract negotiations, and project controls
-> Lead engineering design, equipment procurement, and installation
-> Recognize new business opportunities and develop it as needed
Requirements:
-> 5 to 10 years experience in turn-key capital project management for EPC companies
-> Completed at least 2 full scale substation projects from start to finish
-> Gas Insulated Substations ( GIS ) experience is a major plus
-> BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is desired
-> PMP Certification is a plus
-> Must be proficient with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera
-> Good working knowledge of financial systems
